WHO: DANA FOSTER- Selected to run for Miss BC 2010
WHAT: Miss BC assists the young ladies of our province to achieve their goals through workshops and seminars that touch on their self-developmental needs. Winners of the titles including Miss Northern BC proceed to compete in national programs, and ultimately may represent Canada on the world stage! Miss BC recognize young ladies across British Columbia for their personal accomplishments and community involvement

WHY:  Dana would like to represent the Aboriginal community of Prince George, BC in a proactive and empowering way, to encourage more Aboriginal youth to take leadership roles in their community in a forward-thinking and constructive way. Along with promoting forwarding thinking action plans for the aboriginal community Dana Foster will be attending various community events and organizing a ‘Cops for Cancer’ fundraiser, Cops for Cancer, is a partnership between the Canadian Cancer Society and local law enforcement agencies to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and support programs.  She will also be placing ‘Cops for Cancer’ donation containers around Prince George.
