I was born in northern Manitoba, in the small fishing village of Thompson. One of my most fond memories, growing up on Hudson Bay, was waiting for the whalers to make thier way into port, while listening to Flin Flon Bombers hockey broadcasts on the AM radio. Since those early days on the frozen tundra I have loved the sound of a crackling radio broadcast. I hope one day to buy a second hand AM transmitter and spend my golden years replaying my favourite hockey broadcasts and England Dan and John Ford Coley songs. Hi, I'm the mid day host of 101.3 The River (the guy after  Mike and Jessica) and the Program Director of The River and The Drive. I started my career way back in 1989 in my hometown of Revelstoke, then off to Smithers in 1990 and in 1993, I arrived in B C's  Northern Capital! Prince George is great place to live, work and play! I think it's important to give back to your community and I'm very involved with Crimestoppers,

I have the Best Job in the World! I get to do a Radio Show weekdayafternoons from 2 to 6 on Todays Best Music 101.3 The River.  Every Day I get to play music and  talk to you about whatever.  Sometimes it will be about situations that have happened to me or my family or an event right here in our Community, sometimes it will be
something I saw on Television, read in the paper or online. One thing is for sure, every day it's always different! You never know what's going to happen and that's what makes it so much fun! Everyday I get to share all of this with you.

Hometown girl back to stir up some trouble... I am. Sometimes talk like Yoda...yes. You might remember me as "Shawna the Temp" some also like to call me "Chappy", after my fill in for Jessica on the morning show (who gets chapped lips in the middle of summer anyways?). Graduated now, this is my first radio gig - but I promise I won't make your ears bleed - l LOVE what I do! I graduated from SAIT in Calgary at the "mature" age of 26, I now live with my Mom and Dad and I have no Idea what my garbage zone is - cause' I don't take out the garbage... they must be so proud. When I walk, there's usually a beat in my head and everything I do has a sound effect, whether I do it out loud or it's in my head sound effects make things wayyyy more interesting. I figure, as long as there are no voices in my head I'm doing alright. Oh, and I forgot to mention I also like to imagine situations as if they were a cartoon - also much more fun!
